Privacy Policy
1. Overview
Uoma Labs LLC ("we," "our," or "us") built Axolittle as a virtual pet game for players of all ages. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account Information (if you create an account)
When you sign up, we collect:
- A username or display name you choose
- Your email address (used for account recovery only)
- An encrypted password (we never see or store your password in plain text)
Guest play is available without creating an account. Guest data is stored only on your device.
b. Game Data
- Your axolotl's name, stats, level, and lineage
- Mini-game scores and achievements
- In-app currency balances (Coins and Opals)
- App settings and preferences
If you are signed in, this game data is synced to our cloud servers via Supabase so you can restore your progress if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
c. Social Features
- Your friend code (a randomly generated identifier — not your name or email)
- Friends you add by friend code
- Breeding requests sent to or received from friends
d. Technical Data
- Device type and operating system version
- App crash logs and error reports (used only for bug fixing)
We do not collect your real name, physical address, phone number, or payment information.
3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. Cloud Storage (Supabase)
If you create an account, your game data is stored on servers provided by Supabase, Inc. (supabase.com), a cloud database and authentication service. Supabase stores data on infrastructure located in the United States.

Guest players' data stays on-device only and is never sent to our servers.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Axolittle is suitable for players of all ages. We take children's privacy seriously.
For users under 13:
- We collect only what is necessary to run the game
- We do not display behaviorally targeted advertising
- We do not share children's data with third parties for marketing
- Social features (friend codes, breeding) use randomly generated identifiers — never real names or contact information
- Parents or guardians may contact us at support@uomalabs.com to request deletion of their child's account and all associated data
If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 beyond what is described here, we will delete it promptly.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We share data only with:
- Supabase — cloud storage and authentication (see Section 4)
- Law enforcement — if required by a valid legal process
No other third parties receive your data.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your game data and account information within 30 days.
Game data stored on-device (for guest players) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.
8. Data Security
We protect your information through:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit
- Supabase Row Level Security (RLS) so users can only access their own data
- No storage of plain-text passwords
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
9. Your Rights
All users may:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
California residents (CCPA) have additional rights including the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of sale (we do not sell data).
EEA/UK residents (GDPR) may also restrict or object to processing, and have the right to data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@uomalabs.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will post any changes to this page and update the Effective Date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
